Contracts Manager

John has over 35 years’ experience in the construction industry and has been responsible for the commercial management of projects in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Recent senior roles have included regional commercial manager and commercial manager responsible for managing contract administration teams generally covering cost planning, procurement, value management, claims negotiations, and overall contractual management.

John has a solid understanding of the construction process and various delivery models including lump sum, design and construct, managing contractor, construction management, and joint venture arrangements. Specialist areas of expertise include contract negotiation, contract administration, and dispute resolution.

John carries out the role of Principal or Superintendent’s Representative with responsibility for the administration of head contracts, including preparing head contracts, Principal Project Requirements (PPR), participating in PCG meetings, value management, design development, monthly reporting, and monetary and time analysis and management.
