Located on the Brisbane River, the Howard Smith Wharves Revitalisation Project will create a new landmark for Brisbane by transforming an under utilised site into a world-class recreation, lifestyle, event and tourism destination.
The 3.43 hectare site will be transformed into a riverside precinct with more than 2.7 hectares of public open space, hotel, an exhibition centre and restaurants and cafes. The development will connect the New Farm Riverwalk and the CBD, revitalise Petrie Bight, and respect the heritage of the site.
GCS was engaged to work with both HSW and APG in a project management role for the preparation of tenders and through the value management design process. During construction GCS will act as the superintendent. Our responsibilities include design value management, contractor tender evaluation and negotiation, superintendent services, and management of the commissioning and handover.
